Alan has a Bachelor's degree and over thirty years of experience in the financial industry including six years with a Wall Street firm. In 1987, he received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and in 1991 joined Financial Network. He was admitted into the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners in 1992. Alan subscribes to and is bound by a very strict professional Code of Ethics. To maintain the designations, he is required to satisfy the continuing education requirements of the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners, Inc. (IBCFP) and to comply with professional standards that this organization has set. Alan became a Certified Retirement Counselor in 1999, and became an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee in 2011. Additional memberships include: Investment Management Consultants Association, National Society of Accountants, National Association of Philanthropic Planners (considered a Founding Partner), Northern New Jersey Estate Planning Council, and The Society of Financial Service Professionals.

The five basic and consistent objectives are: to work towards and help create plan to preserve clients' financial future; to tailor a planning program to clients' financial requirements; to analyze and select appropriate investment vehicles; to effectively manage risks associated with investments; and to develop a cooperative relationship with the client.
Alan is paid for his services by hourly fees, retainer fees, asset management fees, commissions, or a combination of all of these. Referral is the method by which new clients are obtained.
